The Skateboard Film Festival 2010 : Seattle, WA : TBA
WOW. We did it. YOU GUYS did it. Thank you for making the inaugural Skateboard Film Festival such a huge success!
I’m happy to announce that we now have complete results for the inaugural Skateboard Film Festival of 2009. They are as followed:
International - Indonesiai’am – directed by Sebastien Abes
Documentary - D.O.P.E. - directed by Chris Ahrens
Shop Video – Prescriptions - directed by Colin Clark
Sponsor Me - Marc Gerard – directed by Jean Penninck
Feature - Free Pegasus – directed by Brian Lotti and Jesus Gomez
Creative Short - Day in the Life – directed by Sylvain Robineau
Zumiez Viewer’s Choice - Permission to Shred – directed by Ben Fordham
Final Cut Pro Battle - Best Edit, Ben Kaplan
It was amazing to see so many filmmakers attend, especially for this first year. We had 12 filmmakers attend from the likes of New York, Los Angeles, Mexico City, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. A lot of you expressed an interest in being able to watch missed films. We are currently exploring ways to be able to share your films with one another. We’d love to hear your suggestions on ways to do this. Through an online forum? Should you filmmakers have access to one another’s contact info? Etc.
So, as we close out the 2009 Skateboard Film Festival, I’d like to again THANK YOU all for participating and making this a reality for the skateboard community. You guys did it. Stay tuned for our 2010 Call for Entries. It’s just around the corner…
Best,
Eric B.

How do I enter???????
Too bad FuelTV dude bailed after Friday night and totally missed Saturday and Skatopia: 88 Acres of Anarchy. Didn’t they know that it was a 2 day event?
It was a good time for sure, should have moved the Keg into the theatre.
It was an awesome time. All the feature length docs were totally impressive and overall it was such a varied mix of films. I think I may have heard a beer or two crack in those back rows…A Day at the Park closed-out day 1 then Skatopia closed-out day 2. Thanks guys!
